- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆We are having an issue with packages being deliveries to our house. About 4 weeks ago we got a new mail carrier and she wont leave our packages on our door step. The reason is that we have dogs in our house not outside but in our house. Since she can hear them barking she wont even stop or attempt to delivery and drives off making us take time off to get our packages. The old mail carrier walked up left them at the door no problem , The new one gets in her car and before she starts her route or get to my house says that we don't have a secure area because of our dogs which are behind a 3 inch door? We have contacted them and they are not resolving the issue. We have never had problems in the 12 years we have lived here and no we do and they wont do anything about it. - ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆This is the very worst USPS I have ever dealt with. Multiple occasions where office staff are inconsiderate and show no compassion. I can only assume the delivery drivers are incompetent. I just moved to this area and already had two occasions where packages were marked incorrectly and undelivered. And, they never answer the phone. Spoke with "management", Doug, and he seems to have troubles communicating truthfully. Mentioned the sent me a letter, I ask where they sent it and the story changes. They did not send communication of any changes up holding my mail and simply decided to just not do so, without informing me or letting me know what my options were. Good to see where my tax dollars are going. And feels great to be ever so warmly greeted as a homeowner by this maple valley post office.By Jessica Hamp, November 22, 2016
